Tim Williams – Senior Pastor
Bro. Tim has been serving as the Nehemiah professor of church planting at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He and his wife were born in Louisiana.  He has nine years of pastoral experience, 2 years on the mission field in Africa, 7 years working in the area of church planting in Canada and 3 years as a professor at the Canadian Baptist Seminary.

Bro. Tim obtained a Masters Degree in Theology in Missiology and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.  He is currently working on his Doctorate of Theology in Missiology and anticipates completion in early 2011.

Bro. Tim and his wife, Amy, have four children:  Solomon, Gideon, Silas and Jaelle.

Jonathan Key – Minister of Music & Worship Arts
Jonathan is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, AL with a Bachelor’s of Church Music. He is attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to earn a Master’s Degree in Divinity. He has served in churches in Georgia, Alabama, and Missouri and brings a wealth of knowledge to this position.

He and his wife Julie have two daughters, Stevens Elise and Cadence Grace.

He is experienced in leading adult, youth and children’s choir programs. He has also been active in drama and media arts.

Jason Reed – Minister to Students
Jason graduated from Leavell College, Undergraduate Studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary majoring in Christian Ministry with a minor in Biblical Studies in December of 2009. He has entered into the the Masters of Divinity Program pursuing his degree in Expository Preaching.

Jason served as a Bi-Vocational Youth Minister at Trinity Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN.

Jason has a heart for discipleship and has developed and implemented a Discipleship Strategy. He has also written a curriculum entitled “Gifted Church”.

Carl Kihnel – Minister to Senior Adults & Hospitals
Brother Carl is responsible for ministering to senior adults, and the unique requirements that they have in the community. He spends several days a week visiting people in the Hospitals and Nursing Homes. Brother Carl goes to visit them all, offering a compassionate moment of prayer, a sensitive ear, some support for the family and comfort to all.

His education includes: A.A.S. Pastoral Ministries, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, he is licensed and ordained. Two years work in Business Administration at Loyola University, High School graduate.

Brother Carl pastored Courtblean Baptist Mission, a mission of First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, Louisiana, for a little over one year. He then pastored Rio Vista Baptist Church for four years. After leaving Rio Vista, he returned to Williams to begin his ministry in Hospital Visitation and Senior Adult Ministry.

Roy Koons – Minister of Recovery
Roy is responsible for the development, training and implementation of recovery programs. After a twenty-five year career in sales and marketing in the tele-communications industry, Roy had a salvation experience in 1996. Called into the ministry in late 1999, he entered New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2000, he started serving at Williams as Associate Singles Minister, working with the 45-65 year old age group. A licensed and ordained minister, Roy is a member of the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship.

Educational experience includes: B.A. Christian Ministries, Business degree work at Tulane and Syracuse Universities. USAF Institute work in Mechanical Engineering, US Air Force Electronics Warfare School, Several industry executive development and quality management schools.

Work experience includes: Associate Singles Minister, facilitating the DivorceCare group seminar for four years, Grief Share support groups for two years, and Pastoral Counseling with those individuals in recovery from alcohol, gambling and drug abuse. Two years as an industry consultant, five years with Alpha Industries (now Dreamworks), nine years with M/A-Com, Inc. (now Tyco), nine years with Motorola Communications.
